I read Dear Chairman when it first hit the bookstores or Amazon. Perhaps I should refresh my memory and read it again.

However right now I am reading Inflated by Christopher Whalen and I would highly recommend it.

As an aside, Jeff Gramm is on the board of Tandy Leather, symbol TLF, which is a Net/Net, which many have mentioned here, so use your own due diligence. It’s the last vestige of Tandy Corp, which most who grew up in my generation would acquaint with Radio Shack.

Lastly, I am shocked by one of the names that made your list, but will remain nameless and relegated to the category of worthy mention of being a potential charlatan until proven otherwise.

Grants is great because he and his staff always make you think.

In regard to his Podcast, he either has a lousy microphone or has a good one, but needs a mic activator or preamp, such as a Cloudlifter, to amplify his voice through his mixer.

I could see TLF come back into vogue if leather became a fad or became popular again. Never say never, but maybe the Fonz or a Fonzie coin will arrive on the scene unexpectedly. 😀

And no it’s not you. I have never thought that and enjoy what you have to say. I probably shouldn’t have mentioned it

Dig deeper! 😉

Thanks for the recommendation of Christopher Whaless's book. I will recommend it in the next edition of WI Weekly.

Yes, I know Jeff from Bandera Partners and TLF. I took a look at the Co. in 2019 and since then it was a deep value situation. However, I decided that it was a value trap and did not invest in it. Seeing how it is today, I don't regret anything.

Do you mean a person or a company?

You’re welcome.

He actually updated the book from its previous edition. I heard him on Grant’s Podcast and decided to buy it.

I agree with you on TLF as well. I never made out well with Net/Net retailers, with the exception being Syms Corp.

Most Net/Net investors do not adjust properly for inventory and take it at face value on the balance sheet.

It’s a person.

Love Grant's podcast. It's a shame the audio's quality is bad (Grant's voice recording it's quite low).

Indeed net-net investing in retail it's a little bit hard. Sometimes their inventory worth a lot less (like TLF when I analized it).

Oh, ok. Hopefully you don't think that about me. Do you? Ha.

Awesome book! Jeff did a great job there. It was amazing to learn that Ben was “the first activist investor”.
